A night at the Theater, Black tie not required.
Live theater returns to Ocracoke this week. We Must Kill Toni will be performed at the Community Center on April 14 -17 - Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 pm, and on Sunday at 1 pm. The play is a dark comedy that is rather obscure. Not many folks have heard of it or know much about the story line. Best I have been able to gather is the story line deals with two brothers and a female cousin which involves love, money, greed…. all the usual components of a great show.
Four Ocracoke all high schoolers, Joe Chestnut, Maddie Payne, Virginia Downes, Emmet Temple and Andrew Tillett star in the show . The play is directed by Charles Temple, the English teacher and veteran play director of the island. Jennifer Kidwell is busy helping with the sets and costumes, so you can bet they themselves will be worth the price of the tickets. Which by the way are only $6 and are on sale at the school or at the door.
Last year’s performance of Mid Summer Nights Dream was a true delight. It was a sellout and talk of the island. So, make sure you mark your calendar and get yourself out to see this show.
If you are coming from out of town, the Castle B & B or one of the Villas would be a fine choice for accommodations. I think there are a few rooms open at the Castle and some Villas available also. Bet some lively reviews will be held at the breakfast table at the Castle. Hope you come join the fun.

Sure sounds like fun. Think we'll see if we can make it and stay at the Castle. Thanks for letting us know.
