How did Ocracoke get to Jeopardy?

I am not real familiar with TV programs, as I find I don’t have much time to spend in front of a TV screen. Life is so full of things to do, things to see…. Even as a spirit, there are not enough hours in the day to do what I want on this small island. But I will definitely be somewhere near a TV on May 5 at 7 pm.

Charles Temple, the English teacher at Ocracoke Island, a scholar and very funny and talented fellow is going to be on a show call Jeopardy. This is a show that folks compete by answering questions with the answer being in form of a question. Charles was lucky and talented enough to get to go to LA and compete. Now he is sworn to secrecy as to the outcome so the island is a buzz about the show and all the possibilities. Ocracoke, as many small villages is a very hard place to keep a secret, but so far this one seems to be mum is the word.

There is talk of a gathering at Gafters with Charles in attendance. I plan to be there and watch the events. Hope you join in on the fun, wherever you are. Pretty exciting that a small school with less than a dozen teachers lands a spot on such a popular and sought after show.
The word on the island is “Go Charles”. No matter what the outcome of the game, the island is proud of this young man and look forward to a fun evening.
